| DUOMO |
| The Duomo dates back to the end of the 1300s and represents the most striking example of Lombard Gothic style architecture. This imposing religious building takes up about 12,000 square metres and is decorated with more than 3,500 statues. Next to the Duomo you can find the famous Vittorio Emanuele Gallery. |
| SFORZESCO
CASTLE |
| A majestic building that with its impressive size dominates the historic centre of Milan, Sforzesco Castle encloses many museums, lovely courtyards in the Greco-Renaissance style as well as spectacular rooms designed by Leonardo Da Vinci with Bramante frescos. The charming Sempione park extends behind it, providing an oasis of green in the heart of Milan. |
| SANTA MARIA
DELLE GRAZIE |
| A prominent renaissance masterpiece built in the second half of the 1400s, it is famed for its marble apse and gateway which are attributed to Bramante as well as for Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last Supper, one of the most famous artworks in history. |
| NAVIGLI CANALS |
| The area of the Naviglio Grande and the Naviglio Pavese (the big canal and the Pavese canal, respectively) is one of the most picturesque spots in Milano: the Navigli canals are flanked by historic and characteristic "case di ringhiera," apartments with wrought-iron balconies that face inwards, antiques shops, and above all, dozens and dozens of bars, restaurants and historic live music joints that take over the crowded canal sides from April to September. |
